Learn how to start a route in the Onward mobile app
1. Open the "Pick Up" Stop
To begin the route, click on the first white box marked as "Pick Up" within the mobile app.
Doing so will open the screen to a page for that delivery. Choose Navigate if you need directions to the stop selected, which will pull up your maps of choice automatically, if you need to go back into the app, you are able to simply select the back button option on your phone.
If you need to call the warehouse, you can click on the phone number listed under customer details for the pick up stop, and it will call them automatically so you do not need to leave the app.
2. Arrive for Loading
Once you have arrived at the pick up location, click "Arrived" in the app in order to indicate that you are physically at that location.
Note that providing accurate time stamps through the use of the arrived and completed buttons is extremely important in order to communicate accurately and confidently with customers regarding the status of their delivery, and prevent any confusion or issues.
3. Begin Loading
Once you have arrived at the stop you are able to see the orders that need to be loaded for this route. Once the items for an order are loaded, select Complete Loading for Stop in the app to indicate that the product for that order on the truck. This needs to be done for all orders on that route.

4. Report Exceptions If you notice any damage, missing items or issues during the loading process, click the Report Exception option located on the specific order you see an issue with. Proper documentation during loading can reduce risk of liability for damages or exceptions that may come into question. Fill out information regarding the issues you are reporting and the circumstances as thoroughly as possible. We recommend when taking pictures to always take them with your phone camera and then upload from the gallery in the app, to make sure the pictures are saved both on your phone and in the app. Once you fill this out, make sure to click Save.
Once you have loaded everything in your truck, and have selected Complete loading for the stop, you will be taken to the screen to view all the stops. The stop you have loaded will appear as Picked Up and the stop and you need to go to next will appear as Next Stop.
