Adding orders to routes

After creating a route with a truck to be filled, add orders to the route

1. Select orders to assign to route. After the planned number of routes for that day have been created, you’ll need to assign orders to each route. To assign orders to a route, select the stops plotted on the map by clicking the black location markers.

    1. As you select stops, they will turn green, indicating they’ve been selected.
    2. As you select these location markers, the system will tell you how many stops you’ve selected in the bottom right corner, in the ‘Assign To’ section
    3. Note: Stops with both a Pickup and a Return are listed as two different orders, however they share the same location marker. Therefore, selecting the single location marker will add both orders to the route.

          1. To select both of those stops, click the ‘Orders’ button in the top left corner. You can see which orders have been assigned to a certain route, and which have not by referring to the color next to them.
          2. You can assign orders to the existing routes by selecting the check box on the left side of the order, and then using the “Assign To” tool at the bottom right corner of the page.
2. Assign orders to a route. Once you have selected the initial batch of orders for a given route, you can assign them to a route using the ‘Assign To’ section in the bottom right corner. Note that you can move orders between routes if needed after this step.
    1. Click the “Select a Route” button, and select one of the routes you’ve created for that day. Then click “Assign.”
    2. These orders will change to a different color on the map to match with the truck color in the "All Routes" column on the left hand side.
    3. The selected route now indicates the % full, the amount of cubic feet, weight, and the number of stops on that truck’s route so far.

Repeat this process with the remaining orders and assign them to the other route(s).

3. Move orders between routes. If you wish to move orders to a different route due to uneven estimated length of a route, increased efficiency of moving a stop, or another reason, simply select the order you’d like to move and use the “Assign to” tool again to change that order to a different route.
